If I were going to endorse someone in the Republican't Presidential Primary, which would be silly for me to do since I have no intention or desire to vote in the Republican't Presidential Primary - nor would I vote for a Republican't in the general election, I would have to endorse Ron Paul. The guy actually makes sense. I know the media likes to portray him as some sort of kook, but have you actually listened to him? I mean, I do not fully support his ideas. For instance, his vision of "limited government" is just too extreme, but the guy makes sense. His campaign has put together a nice video outlining some of his positions. Additionally, he seems to be the only Republican't that has demonstrated any sort of consistency over the years in his stance on the issues.
Speaking of endorsements, I still have not decided who I will vote for in the Democratic Presidential Primary. For reasons that I have previously elaborated on, I have decided that I will not vote for Obama. But I am torn between Hillary and Edwards. Each has pros and cons, that I will analyze here in the near future as I try to make up my mind. But Edwards' showing in recent polls showing he would beat all four major Repulican't candidates in the general election has re-ignited my interest in him as electability is a major issue for me. I want to see the Republican'ts shown the door at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And any Democrat is still better than the best Republican't in my book. I was almost a shoe-in for Hillary but now am not sure. Taking Obama out the decision has actually helped though.
